1. General
By engaging the services of Makeupbyroxx and/or making a booking, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
Makeupbyroxx reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
2. Booking Confirmation
All bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit.
Until the deposit has been received, the requested date and time remain available for booking by other clients.
Once a deposit has been paid, the booking date and time are reserved exclusively for the Client.
3. Deposits
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure all bookings.
Deposits are generally calculated at 50% of the total services booked unless otherwise stated.
Deposits secure the booking date, time, preparation, scheduling, and availability of Makeupbyroxx and are therefore non-refundable.
Where multiple events are booked under a single contract, Makeupbyroxx reserves the right to allocate deposits across individual events accordingly.
4. Date Changes & Postponements
Any request to change an event date must first be discussed with Makeupbyroxx before the Client confirms a new date.
Date changes are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
Where Makeupbyroxx is able to accommodate the requested date change, the deposit may be transferred to the new booking date.
If the Client confirms a new date without first consulting Makeupbyroxx and Makeupbyroxx is unable to accommodate the revised date, the deposit shall be forfeited.
Where Makeupbyroxx is unable to accommodate a requested date change despite prior discussion, any monies paid may be held as credit for future services for up to twelve (12) months from the original booking date.
5. Cancellation by Client
All deposits are strictly non-refundable.
In the event of cancellation by the Client, all deposits paid shall be forfeited.
Where cancellation occurs within thirty (30) days of the scheduled appointment, Makeupbyroxx reserves the right to require payment of the remaining balance in full due to loss of business and inability to rebook the reserved time slot.
Any exceptions shall be at the sole discretion of Makeupbyroxx.
6. Reduction or Removal of Services
Once a booking has been confirmed and deposit paid, services may not be reduced, removed, downgraded, or cancelled.
Should the Client elect not to proceed with any part of the services originally booked, the total contracted amount shall remain payable in full.
7. Payment Terms
The remaining balance shall be paid immediately upon completion of services and before the artist departs the venue.
Accepted payment methods include cash, bank transfer, PayNow, or any other method approved by Makeupbyroxx.
Late payment charges shall apply as follows:
- Up to 24 hours after service completion: additional 10% of outstanding balance
- 24–36 hours after service completion: additional 20% of outstanding balance
- 36–48 hours after service completion: additional 40% of outstanding balance
Any outstanding balance remaining unpaid after 48 hours may be referred to debt recovery proceedings, legal action, or any other lawful recovery process.
The Client shall be responsible for all reasonable recovery costs, administrative fees, and legal expenses incurred in recovering outstanding sums.
8. Travel, Parking, Venue Access & Waiting Time
Makeupbyroxx provides islandwide services within Singapore. The following location surcharges shall apply:
- Sentosa: additional $30 per event
- Changi area: additional $30 per event
Any ERP charges, toll charges, ferry fees, special access fees, valet fees, or venue-related transportation costs shall be borne by the Client.
For hotel bookings, the Client shall provide complimentary parking arrangements, parking coupons, validated parking, or reimbursement of parking charges incurred by Makeupbyroxx.
The Client is responsible for ensuring that Makeupbyroxx has timely access to the venue, hotel, residence, bridal suite, or event location.
Waiting time beyond the agreed service schedule shall be chargeable at $60 per 30-minute block or part thereof. Waiting time charges may apply in situations including but not limited to:
- Delays caused by the Client
- Delays caused by photographers or videographers
- Delays caused by family members or wedding coordinators
- Delays due to venue access restrictions
- Additional touch-ups beyond the agreed schedule
- Second, third, or further outfit changes not originally booked
- Any extension of services beyond the agreed service duration
Waiting time fees must be paid before Makeupbyroxx continues providing services.
9. Client Delays & Readiness
The Client shall ensure that all persons receiving services are present, prepared, and ready at the agreed commencement time.
Makeupbyroxx shall not be responsible for delays caused by late arrivals, venue delays, photographers, videographers, family members, wedding coordinators, or any third party.
Where delays occur and additional time is required, Makeupbyroxx reserves the right to charge additional fees accordingly.
Where delays significantly impact subsequent bookings or scheduling commitments, Makeupbyroxx reserves the right to shorten, modify, or omit certain services where necessary without refund.
10. Artist Unavailability, Force Majeure & Limitation of Liability
Makeupbyroxx is committed to fulfilling all confirmed bookings. However, circumstances beyond reasonable control may arise, including but not limited to illness, injury, accident, hospitalization, medical emergencies, family emergencies, acts of God, natural disasters, transportation disruptions, government restrictions, public emergencies, or other unforeseen events.
In such circumstances, Makeupbyroxx reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:
- (a) appoint a suitably qualified replacement makeup artist; or
- (b) provide a refund of monies paid for the affected service(s), less any services already rendered.
The remedies above shall constitute the Client's sole and exclusive remedy.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Makeupbyroxx shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, emotional, reputational, special, or financial losses arising from such circumstances.
The maximum liability of Makeupbyroxx under any circumstances shall be limited strictly to the total amount paid by the Client for the affected service(s).
Makeupbyroxx shall not be required to disclose confidential, personal, medical, legal, or sensitive information, nor provide medical records, police reports, insurance documents, witness statements, photographs, or any supporting documentation relating to circumstances preventing performance of services.
11. False Information & Misrepresentation
Any event involving a bride, groom, wedding ceremony, reception, solemnisation, engagement, henna night, garba, pre-wedding event, photoshoot, pageant, commercial production, media appearance, or similar celebration shall be deemed an event requiring the appropriate service category and pricing as determined by Makeupbyroxx.
Clients must accurately disclose the nature of the event, services required, event schedule, venue, attendance, and all relevant information at the time of booking. Providing false, misleading, incomplete, or inaccurate information shall constitute a breach of these Terms & Conditions.
Should Makeupbyroxx discover that inaccurate or misleading information has been provided, Makeupbyroxx reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:
- (a) revise the booking and charge the applicable fees according to the actual nature of the event;
- (b) require immediate payment of any price difference, bridal fees, event fees, transportation charges, early morning surcharges, overtime charges, or any other applicable fees before services commence;
- (c) refuse to commence or continue services until all outstanding sums have been paid in full;
- (d) cancel the booking immediately without refund of any monies paid.
Any decision made by Makeupbyroxx under this clause shall be final and binding.
12. Safe Working Environment & Conduct
Makeupbyroxx is committed to providing services in a safe, respectful, and professional environment.
The Client shall ensure that Makeupbyroxx, its employees, assistants, contractors, and representatives are not subjected to harassment, intimidation, discrimination, abuse, threats, violence, inappropriate conduct, excessive intoxication, unsafe conditions, or any behaviour that may compromise their safety, wellbeing, or ability to perform services.
Should Makeupbyroxx reasonably determine that the working environment has become unsafe, hostile, inappropriate, or unprofessional, Makeupbyroxx reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate services without refund. In such circumstances, the Client shall remain liable for the full contracted amount, and no refunds, credits, or compensation shall be provided.
13. Pricing
All prices are subject to change without prior notice.
Confirmed bookings with deposits already paid shall remain protected under the pricing agreed at the time of booking.
14. Allergies, Sensitivities & Skin Conditions
The Client is responsible for informing Makeupbyroxx of any allergies, sensitivities, skin conditions, medical concerns, or known adverse reactions prior to the appointment.
While all reasonable care shall be taken, Makeupbyroxx cannot guarantee that allergic reactions or sensitivities will not occur and shall not be liable for any resulting reactions.
15. Photography & Marketing
Unless otherwise requested in writing prior to the appointment, Makeupbyroxx reserves the right to photograph, film, record, and use images or videos of completed work for portfolio, marketing, educational, promotional, website, advertising, and social media purposes.
16. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms & Conditions shall first be subject to good-faith discussions between the parties. Where resolution cannot be reached, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
